You just gotta listen to the radio in the last few weeks to see it is happening, Brookes brothers, chase & status, high contrast on Chris Moyles?
I know their quite mainstream already, and I agree that i think the scene should stay underground as a whole, but surely becoming mainstream will pump some extra cash into drum & bass.
Only top producers can make a living out of making tunes, compared to mainstream dance producers like axwell and eric pyrdz, who can make a tune, and then live off the royalities for the rest of their life.
It will be the same as is now I reckon maybe a little bigger, ram only ones with ability to push it.
Have people like Annie Mac playing Subfocus, Chase and Status, Brookes Brothers and Zane Lowe used to play the odd TC tune but other than that it all looks good
I hate it when people who know nothing about DnB rave about a tune, I remember Benga and Koki - night was on Radio 1 for a bit and my mate went to see Zane Lowe at Carling academy and he said the place went mad. Indy twats stick to your guiter and group of 5 called 'The .....' He was like have you heard it? Obviously it had only been around about a year prior to you fucking it
If it gets mainstream, I'll have to deal with more idiot cunts like this.
