True, but if DnB gets commercially popular I reckon a fair few people who get into the scene from this will want to get into the deeper/harder stuff, so hopefully we'll see more new producers/djs/ravers playing that kind of stuff... as well as boring 174 bpm pop music

dnb was and always will be the cream of the underground but, dnb deserves alot more attention, and the producers deserve more support. I dont think "the scene" really has nothing to do with the quality of dnb, they are just listeners... me personally ive gotten friends into dnb, but they lack the passion that most dnbheads have, and thats the same with all music most people just aren't into it enough. ANd so they go back to the radio, because they dont really care about music that much anyway

I believe that once the older generation dies out people will gradually get bored with the simplicity of pop music... l Eventually... producers should be paid properly, and more exposure means more music, but then again most producers didn't need to be exposed to it they listened and they searched for it and dnb was waiting, all i got left to say is,

the world just needs to catch up imho.

Very wise words there mate.

If it did go mainstream that could only be a good thing for attracting more emo/goth crowd I see potential to make extra money, and buy making money i mean ripping them off:twisted:

Most dnb will stay underground I reckon, only some will surface into the mainstream. Pendulum have more of a following because they branched out and have a different sound to most other producers in the scene, more of a 'rock' feel to their music and this kind of 'bridges the gap' between genres. But show Break/Aphrodite/Digital/Ruffige Kru etc etc etc to these 'scene kids' and it's more than likely they won't like it. Like someone said before, most people who listen to the radio won't go and dig for stuff, they just like to tap their feet to something on the way to work etc, but then again these people will probably go and buy an album if they like a tune so it's a bit of a funny old topic. To be honest I don't really want people like this at raves \/

but that's just my opinion. I guess it's a case of slip into the mainstream and pump more cash into a scene that needs it or continue underground as it is. But then we get into a different subject, will 'scene kids' acutally go to raves or just buy the albums? Because dnb raves need supporting aswell and only a slice dnb can be found on albums. I guess we can't really win with this subject, I'm 50/50 to be honest, the scene definately, no questions, needs more money but at the same time will commercialising some dnb make much of a difference to smaller producers and the scene as a whole?
