So just wonderin if anyone listens to any conventional rock music, cause i'm sure we all have a few sentimental favorites.

Lately i have been really enjoying Blind Melon, Nirvana, The Verve, Pearl Jam, Lemonheads, & Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

I know we all go through phases of liking stuff then forgeting about it. Has anyone else been exporing rock music that the used to like or currently listen to?

i like all kinds of music. (with the distinct exclusion of country music. that shit makes me want to cut my fucking ears off.)

if i listened to dnb all the time id probably get sick of it. so yeah, i like rock. but i have a real soft spot for blues and roots.

    very rarely.

I like Living Color, Primus, maybe some old Pearl Jam why not.

I have observed a big rock revival over the last 3 - 4 years here, both in sound and fashion. And it bores me shitless. And I'm full of shit, so thats a big achievement.

thats the sort of comments that makes your point of view completely pointless.....plus the caps just makes you seem aggresive (and i did my dissertation on that so i know) :)

i know i get annoyed that people pre judge us dnb lovers so why pre judge rockers. pssh no time for you

hehe yes blues and soul i need in my life!

    Exactly.

Besides its not like rock is all i listen to. I got a really wide and varied taste in music, in the last couple weeks i have been listening to alot of rock. A couple weeks before that was lots of Soul & funk, months before that was original 50's & 60's dub.

50's & 60's dub is the real roots man. Dub from this era is very raw, minimal or no vocals. This is the movement that started Reggae & Dance Hall. Put simply: Dub is like reggae with no words. Look to Guys like King Tubby, Sly & Robbie, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Pete Tosh & The Scientist, as they provide a great example of the style.
