    matter has reopened as Proud2 - http://www.proud2.com/about.aspx

the decor looks a bit naff and they have removed some stuff, but remember this is the same club that used to sell out for both Ram and Hospitality nights!

anyone else think they should head back? or stick with fabric?

That place is playing Radio 1 DJs every weekend, I dont think its caterring for decent club nights anymore. Theres another place thats opening, may have opened already, I can see Ram or Hospitality moving there

yeah i heard pulse may be the next place to head to, but the overall capacity is something like 4000+ people, im not sure whether a dnb night could draw in that many people, unless you can hire like sections of it?

Hospitality would probably be able to fill it. Maybe even Ram...

Think atm it's just for shitty house nights though. Had mates from work trying to get me to book a ticket for the launch. Paying £30-35 to see a couple House DJs I've never heard of play a mix CD for a couple hours, whilst I corress the buttons on my new cardy...

    Thanks, but no fuckin thanks

Matter was the best club in the country. The soundsystem in room one was second to none as far as I'm concerned.

Looks abit like a cheese club now, such a shame. Had some absolutely quality nights there. Most of them with people from here.

We all had a special bond that will never be broken <3

I did go to The End. The soundsystem was definitely not better than Matter. As for the club itself, (not the vibes) Matter dwarves The End in every respect.

If your were standing at the bar in The End, you could'nt hear wtf was going on because the music in room 2 (if you can call it a room) was getting mashed up with the room 1 set. It was even worse if Room 1 was packed and you had nowhere else to stand but in between the two rooms.
