i rate the tune selection on how well the tunes sounded when mixed together, its not fair to give someone a disadvantage just because they mixed a genre that you didnt like

it's not like that man, i'm gonna judge on what you do in a mix, if it's one dimensional then i may well give you one for tune selection, i like a variety. i wouldn't say smarty played the kind of stuff i'm into but i still gave him high marks for tune selction because he went different places with the mix.

and i think instead of bitching about what the judges might like, just try and do an original mix. be different... there's an old ninja tunes quote, which goes 'always stick to the path, they say, but the ninja man, he say fuck 'em... the real action happens where the track don't tread' think on. you entered the comp it's up to you to make the judges sit up and take notice

Mattix, over all proper blending man, seems like you just cut & dry bring the tune in, let it roll for a few measures then drop it at the time! boooya. shcmoove man, couple of the jump up tunes the bass lines bounce off eachother and i love it when mixes come out like that. Biggup! (even tho i hate jump-up :teeth: )

Pezzz, nice mix man, bet you had the energy on some of those mixes, overall was a dope mix. biggup. sloppy at times with your eq's but i think the selection is proper to say the least.

cheers man, i realise it was sloppy wasnt happy with it! (had a few drinks by this time, ended up recording it the first time through shitty mic on a laptop, second time wavelab just decided to crash midway :lamur: only realised once i'd finished! gay.) was guna try record another before my battle was up cuz got some promo's today but ahh well glad u likes the selection!
