Hey. Do you ever get real impatient with having to make songs? I want to get into this stuff but I always get sidetracked. If I could just enjoy "making music" live once in a while, I think I would be able to sustain my love for the art.

So, if i just had a bunch of buttons that did a bunch of stuff, oh and knobs and wheels and stuff, could I make some really awesome music without having to worry about software?

After i loaded the sounds in with software or whatever. I don't want to be stuck with just sounds from the keyboard.

I mean, couldn't I just record sessions live and have that be my music instead of worrying about the huge software part of it?

Oh, and how much will it cost me? *hides

makes you not want to help anyone any more tbh.
:(

This.

I'd say if you aren't willing to put up with all the deep time consuming stuff then producing isn't for you. It's a labor of love. Yeah, it's a lot of work to get something to sound just how you want it and pay attention to little details but in the end you'll be a lot happier with it then you would be if you just made it with some toy.

If your asking these questions, your producing for entirely the wrong reason.

Id stick to listening to music, instead of making it if i were you.
