erm I expect there's a few that probably won't be playing it...

pretty good for sly though, imo

Tbf it´s not only Sly but a whole camp that gathers around this sound.

kung fu flick dialogue got old ages ago too... jump up does need some fresh ideas

still think there's a lot of good stuff out there tho

anyone caught trying to "rinse" that at an event I put on is getting turfed right off the decks, escorted out of the venue and never getting booked again.

I don´t think that the Toad Croakers do even give a single fuck. Do they really like this kinda sound or are they just like, let´s throw this shit on the floor, the fackin peasants will eat it anyway? Because that what it sounds like to me.

The newcomers are even worse I´m afraid, they just don´t get past screeches.

Konichi (Annix) became so uninteresting, also Nu Elementz and Decimal Bass. They don´t put any effort in their tunes.

But yeah, I agree, there is good stuff out there..T<I, Serum, Voltage..a couple of lesser known guys that have had some good output..like Version or Flat T.

I always liked the darker midlands stuff by Devize and Shookz, they seem to be a bit quiet tho recently.

well yeah loads of producers get stuck on rinsing the same sound for too long instead of progressing or just doing something different, which is lazy, but I don't think they're that cynical about it, lol. I think the vast majority are 100% into what they do

agree with your list of quality producers, could probably add half a dozen more... at the end of the day there's good and bad jump up as with anything else

Annix is Konichi & Decimal Bass. But I agree, the only thing that I liked since their Inception LP was 'Party' by Decimal Bass last year.

As you say though, Voltage & Serum have had a good year. 'Wiretap' still goes off. There's still a few gems out there

What do you do when your favourite gang in music history are all over the shit. It saddens me how far jump up has evolved. It's almost tragic.
