DJ Hype's KISS show cut to 1 hour

again this is fucking shit

if people actually used the listen again function rather than downloading rips of the shows the radio station might actually realise that there is a big audience for dnb / specialist shows

unfortunatly most people just download a link for the mp3 and never even vist the actuall radio website resulting in poor listening figures

This is true, but shows like this do better in podcast format, due to fickle nature of the dnb audience.

DNBArena podcast is just like a radio show now, which is one of the reasons it's so successful.

I am a big fan of Hype's show but the best time for me to listen to it is on the bus/running and the only way I can do this is by getting the rips.

I would do this if the Kiss Kube player wasn't such shit to use. Doesn't work on either my work or home pc's so I have no option other than to download the MP3.

Those who listen outside the UK also have to get the MP3 rip as well as the Kunt Kube don't work abroad.

I like hype, and have listened to his show a few times when I was student and had the time... so it's a shame that its getting cut short.

In truth though, I am suprised it lasted this long and that they are still giving him an hour (though the man deserves more.) Dnb doesn't have a mass appeal, especially what Hype plays, its on at an awkward time, and Kiss is and always has been a shit radio station...

That's shit

I always check out Hype's show

But I would have thought more people than ever were tuning in on a Wednesday night right now! Obviously it's not enough

Shame on you Kiss

The Gerrard show used to be sick as well!

This is just another example of the "commercial" aspect of the music industry slowly destroying itself

This is going to sound a bit wierd as the whole thing is a load of bollox, but at least they didnt just cut Hype's show they did it to them all....bad for music but not a reflection of the popularity of dnb, which has stood firm for a few years now (although this will not help)
