Distorted on bass creates little unwanted sound

So, I've had this problem a few times now.

Sometimes I get a click on a bass sample that I distort using ozones trash 2 (it doesn't happen with other vsts as far as I'm aware)
It only happens when there is an eq infront of the distortion, and when the sample stops, not when it repeats.
It's quite annoying, and the only solution i found is to bounce it out, and cut it of manually, but thats a hassle.

Anyone know something about this?

(the sample repeats 3 times each, no other effects than eq and dist)

Just found this. Have the same problem sometimes. I can suggest transient shaping too.

yes i get the same thing w trash 2
i've never tried this.. but toss a noise gate in the chain right before Trash in your channel strip?

Hmm yeah a transient shaper is a good idea. Never used one before though. Heard great things about the SPL one.
