Distorted Audio :(

Eazee everyone!

I just picked up a pair of NUMARK NDX400's and an M6 mixer.

Whenever I play a track I can hear alot of distortion or the overall sound quality isn't that great

So far ive only put in the Drum&Bass Arena Anthology CD's, so it's not due to crappy YouTube downloads, and I have used 2 different SkullCandy headphones and Ive tried playing it through my speakers but whatever I use there's still that distorted sound, even when the gain and bass etc is lowered?

It's not connected to my laptop or anything if that makes any difference..

Im pretty new to all this stuff so excuse me if im missing something!

Does anyone know waghwan or has had any similar problems?

Check that the CDJs are plugged into the line on the mixer channel and not the phono. It sounds like that is the problem.

Gotta be careful with the phone inputs mate! Connecting a a line in level input to phono can damage your input...
