for any tech heads on here i was just wondering which motor type is better out of the 2......
a brushless DC ...or
a 16 pole 3 phase?
any body know?

I think all turntables use a Brushless DC motor. I know Technics use this method to drive the platter.

nah, technics use a brushless dc motor and stantons use the 16 pole 3 phase, cant find out which is the better out of the two though, i know stantons have a hell of alot more torque than technics

Just had a bit of a geez at the specs of the Technics & theres not alot there on the motor itself.

Both Stantons & Technics use a 3 Phase brushless DC Motor. The specs I looked at on the Stanton T92, specifies an 8 pole motor, basically the more poles a motor has the higher the torque, so if what ever your looking at with a 16 pole motor will have higher torque then the T92, providing the kw rating is similar. I hope that makes sense.
