    Hi all,

Just hoping for a bit of help, I'm looking for a gift for my other half, I've been looking at the
    Tascam DR05 Digital Recorder.

Can anyone tell me if this will record a set played through Technics vinyl decks with a Technics mixer?

Am I right in thinking that if you use the "line in" it would override the mics and record the set only, not other noise in the room?

I also wondered if this item would be give good enough recording quality for drum and bass?

Any help would be appreciated, as I said this is for a gift so I have no idea how any of it works!

    Thanks a lot

Yes to the above mate. I was looking at this recorder myself but opted for the roland r-05 which is superb. These recorders offer great sound quality when recording sets mate and you can track mark on the fly. Plus will record wav or mp3's
