alright, so today I started a new project, grabbed a rhodes sample (big ups for that skuff) and got working

But I'm not sure if the bass works with the rhodes and vibe of the track.

Keep in mind that the track isn't finished at all, the mixdown isn't done properly, no mastering at all, and it needs some more elements at the moment

I'm not sure that that bass really works with the vibe of the tune either. It's a nice enough bass but it doesn't sit 100% with the rhodes. It also sounds like a lot of the warmth of those pads has been eq'd out, or are just missing in the sample. Rhodes is always synonymous with warmth and depth for me but these ones lack it.

Hope that's helpful.

yeah id keep the keep that bass loop and cut out all low end... and use it layered over a sub with automation see how that sounds before you put this one in the look at later folder.

yep, agree with you guys. First I´d focus on bass correction (a bit higher :)).
Then try to add some simple rolling variation to your drums.
Maybye try to add another synth channel (just some light pluck sound or pad with arpeggiato).
And don´t stop playin with bass movement bro! (notch filter, LP, HP, flanger, etc.)
So hope that's helpful and keep it up man!
