had a nightmare couple of days where my macbook wasnt playing ball and i couldnt get it to turn on. managed to fix it anyway. time to get this track finished!

Ears are ringing even though I kept it under 70 db to avoid the room colouration. Big learning curve. Lot's of wierd shit going on with render. Fuck it I'll check mix tomorrow, set up soundcloud account and move on to next project

Yep sometimes rendering does that. Sounds different after you’ve bounced out the track even through the same monitors. Then you find it sounds different again when uploaded to soundcloud!

we've got a panel of judges; entrants are not on the panel ( to keep things fair )

That seems unusual. Is there any duplication through sends? What DAW are you using?
