From KMag's preview of this weekends event!

We Fear Silence present A Bunch of Cuts on Saturday 16th January to celebrate the awesome website under the same moniker. A Bunch of Cuts.com is a collaborative website connecting some of the best underground labels in drum & bass at the moment.

The collaboration of names on this website is simply astronomical, with Marcus Intalex, Calibre, D-Bridge, Doc Scott and Klute all involved. So with such a tour de force of drum & bass personnel behind this website, it's no surprise that their collective forays into club-nights are always blinding.

Marcus Intalex, D-Bridge, Doc Scott and Klute will all be at the night, alongside guests Fabio, Lynx and Amit for the night, to prove that January is as good as any month to host a ridiculously good party, containing some of the most forward thinking drum & bass around at the moment.

The headlining guest, Fabio, is of course, one half of the legendary duo Fabio & Grooverider, who have done the scene much service over the years with their Radio 1 show. There is not much need for an introduction, because Fabio is without a doubt one of most important DJs in drum & bass.

Since the release of The Raw Truth on Soul:r in 2009, Lynx has established himself as one of the most important artists currently in drum & bass, and with a lot more important releases sure to crop up. Lynx will certainly have an armoury of future-thinking drum & bass tracks, ready to drop for this event.

Fabio and Lynx will be joined by the awesome Amit, who has been smashing the dance floor for a fair few years now, with notable releases on Commercial Suicide and Metalheadz. Playing live, this will be a set to remember, no doubt!

Room two is hosted by Medium, and headlining the room is Sigha, destined for big things this year no doubt. Currently signed to mega-imprint Hotflush, with a spate of releases already doing the rounds, 2010 looks to be Sigha's year. His blend of dubstep infused techno is nothing short of brilliant.

Sigha will be joined by Marcus Intalex, this time swapping drum and bass for some techno. Lynx will grace us with his eclectic set, so expect a few surprises along the way. They will be joined by Tasha and FD.

We Fear Silence also promote excellent dubstep events as well of course, so look out for their Subloaded night with Kode 9, Shackleton, Pinch, Darwqan, RSD, The Bug & Loefah at Corsica Studios, London on Saturday February 5th.

We Fear Silence present A Bunch Of Cuts @ Cable, Bermondsey Street Tunnel, London, SE1 3JW. Saturday January 16th. 10pm-6am. £10 adv./£13.

Part two – Medium’s FD jumps on the decks to give us a taster of that boundary crossing sound the Medium crew loves…if you sit still while catching this then you need to have a serious word with yourself.

This should see you through nicely until Saturday evening…Medium’s room is gonna be bouncing!

Was a sick night... Still recovering.

Fabio and klute were easily the best sets of the night, klutes being one of the best I've heard in ages...

Wish id have gone now. Apparently a really gd new club aswell.

Yea man, you missed out, was very good.

I didn't go to shogun though, which I heard was quite good.. but to be honest this was more my thing.

Pure vibes all night long...

Cable is an alright club, location is good, staff very good, drinks a bit much (cost more at one bar then the other!).

It is a bit like a cross of fabric and the end in its feel. Fabric for its stylings and the end for its layout...

The music was siiiick as well. Klute fuckin killed it at the end, such an under-rated talent.

I checked some of the FD and Tasha sets in the medium room, bloody good at points, but the change in vibes was quite stark and so I reverted to the dnb most of the time.
