    Rawtee “Ghost Walk”

Breaking the ground right open on the first release for Cymbalism Recordings comes this dance floor stormer courtesy of newcomer Rawtee. “Ghost Walk” sounds like the birth child of early Kemal + Rob Data mixed with Matrix, and a little Cause 4 Concern added for good measure. With intelligently placed drum fills, correct synth stabs and a bottomless bass roll that carries this tune from the first breakdown through to the end of the track, devastating everything in its path, this is the perfect first release to give Cymbalism that push to the front of the line as a new label.

Strictly for the dance floor and already turning heads across the country on dubplate for months, Rawtee shows how to do things proper in the stateside drum n bass scene.

    Kaoss + Extract “Surfer Rosa”

Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, label boss Kaoss and production partner Extract don’t slow down for one second by unleashing “Surfer Rosa”, an eerie hard-step roller geared for total destruction on the bass bins and clubs across the country. The rolling drums and female vocal cries carry the arpeggio along through filtered bass rises, staggered drum fills and synth lines for a solid track worthy of passing as the second A side. The Midwest has a voice and it comes out strong in this first release for Cymbalism Recordings.
