Cybin exploded onto the Drum & Bass scene with the mighty Roller, their debut release that started MC GQs Emcee Recordings and a tune that touched the scene worldwide, was smashed by some of the scenes biggest DJs (Bailey, JJ Frost, Storm, Nicky Blackmarket, DJ Hype (Kiss100) and hit no 9 in the official Radio 1 DnB chart.

They went on to produce the second, third, fifth, sixth, seventh, fourteenth and fifteenth releases for the label, during this time hitting venues around the country as DJs and with a Live PA featuring vocal support from MCGQ and later SP MC (Echo Location).

During the summer of 2003 Cybin set up their own label, Lockdown Recordings, which went on to be a huge success and is now about to drop its eleventh release, with distribution provided by Alpha magic initially and now with Nu - Urban Music.

So far the Lockdown Releases have received club and radio support from DJs including: Grooverider, Goldie, Roni Size, DJ Die, DJ Clipz, Distorted Mindz, LDouble (Radio 1Xtra), Gerrard (Vibe 101), Rampage (Radio 1Xtra) Bad Company, Pendulum, DJHype (Kiss100), DJ Mil and Steptic (Macedonia) Subvert Crew (Singapore) Dx & Yoneda (Japan) and many more.

Lockdown Recordings, in past, current and forthcoming releases has featured a range of high caliber artists including: Cybin themselves, DJ Clipz (Full Cycle), Interface, MC Sweet pea (Full Cycle), Mesh and Nightwalker (True Playaz, Grid).

Throughout the course of their time with Emcee Recordings and under the banner of Lockdown Recordings and TOV, Cybin have appeared at some of the biggest venues for some of the biggest promotions across the UK including a number of live PA performances at Fabric Live @ Fabric (London) and DJ sets at DNBA @ Republic (Sheffield), Clash of the Titans @ Academy (Bristol), Legends of the Dark Black @ Dance Academy (Plymouth) as well as many, many more.

As well as press coverage on Dogs on Acid website news, Drum And Bass Arena and Knowledge The duo have also featured in Knowledge Magazine, issue 47 and Leaders of the Nu-Skool in ATM magazine and are interviewed in the forthcoming issue 4 of the new Code of the Streets DVD magazine.

From late 2004 2005 Cybin have had two vinyl releases with TOV, one of the biggest and longest standing labels in the scene, on the acclaimed Here Comes Trouble EP series, and their own individual 12. With another recent production also featuring on TOVs Fast Lane 2 mix CD mixed by DJ Friction.

Their latest releases Dubwize, Desert Storm and All Junglists have all been on their own Lockdown imprint, to be complimented later in year with a CD mix album and a brand new website for the label which will provide a direct source of all of the new and forthcoming material from Cybin and the other Lockdown artists.

With all this going on and their diary filling up with bookings throughout 2006, the future looks bright for Cybin and Lockdown Recordings so watch this space and, Keep it locked!
