Custom waveforms/ wavetables

Is it worth me recording random shit to try and discover awesome new waveforms, or it it a waste of time?

Anyone tried it and found good places to get individual waves for filth?

Just use FM if you want to make some weird waveforms, this seems a bit OTT.

I have tried FM, I couldn't get all the results I wanted... but it's fine now because I got 4500 waveforms from the free adventure kid sample pack

Zeta or Zebralette should do the job i guess, but yeah you can get waveforms out of pretty much anything
