    Curl & Dean - Bantha
Original + Beta, Mesmer, RuN RiOT, Deriwer Remixes
    Catalog: SCAR15
    Release date: September 10th, 2010
    Label: Scarcity Records ( )

    About this release:
You know this Essex duo that go by the name Curl & Dean from their The Curl & Dean Break Wind show on iBreaks Radio. You know them from their absolutely wicked and unique sounding previous releases on Big Square and Ape. Their Snow Buddha release earned a number 1 spot in the DJ Download Beats & Breaks Chart, a DJ magazine recommendation and support from many, including Jay Cunning's Kiss FM show.
The driving progressive feel good Bantha combines horn sounds and vocals with breakbeats and all the necesary uplifting elements to make your feet take your body up and down on the dancefloor.
Beta did what he usually does best: he delivered a breaks remix beyond words! Rolling beats, growling bassline, sweet arpeggiators and pads, the original theme turned upside down and inside out will surely rock big sound systems across the world, shall we say more?
London-based producer and live act RuN RiOT is definitely no new name to anyone. He spread his innovative sound all over the original and turned it into an energetic breakstep affair with a cool rascal garage feel.
Hungarian producer Deriwer turns in an atmospheric progressive house remix with deep pads and mysterious elements keeping the very emotional elements from the original, but do not be fooled by the seemingly lush sound as it is yet a driving and powerful one set to rock any house dj’s set out there.
Last tune of the release is a surprising dub version from label owner Mesmer. His remix sets off as a deep dark chunky tight beats tune and keeps building until it drops into a proper roller with loads of tiny little bits and edits everywhere to revive the crowds.
