Culture Shock / Wilkinson Big (Square?) Basslines

Hey! I've been wondering for a long time now how those 2 guys make their basses... imo they are some of the better and freshest producers out there!
I have been trying to recreate this sound but i've never gotten very close. I think i got the basics: Squares detuned with a lot of chorus and reverb like in this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfkXlIuNaKE)

However, this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEfmbuYAaCI) remains a secret to me... I kinda hear the same waves but with some sick filtering that creates some type of growly character... Can anyone help me out here on how to get that 'big' sound to the bass? They sound really weak when i make them...

I work in Ableton (reason rewire), i have massive, FM8 and sylenth!

Not sure about culture shock but Wilkinson is known to sample "found sounds" and twist them into a bass. Check out http://youtu.be/XqhOxl077Ec

Yeah, I saw those little clips of him working, but those blenders make such a harsh sound! Wonder how he could turn that into such a liquid-y bass

Anyone knows about the culture shock bassline?
