Tell me which you prefer and why
Cubase as i've used it more therefore know more about it!
why do you prefer PC ?
logic - killer interface, easy to use (intuitive, as much as a DAW can be), not expensive if you start with logic express, now in 64-bit
mac - see reasons above, best customer support on the planet
cubase, have used it since i was in school, know my way around it like the back of my hand. plus cant afford a mac atm so not used logic lol,
Logic can't beat zee MAC. Use Cubase in college but i prefer Logic, seems easyer for me.
never used cubase but just learning my way around logic and its great! so easy to timestretch a break or vocal. much easier than when i used to chop up a break in recycle.
nopes, Reaper has that.
also -1 to cubase, is not very intuitive and a time eater... roar
long time cubase user here, but gotta give it to cockos for making an excellent platform with reaper. anyone's who starting now and doesnt get reaper is starting off in the wrong-est foot..
plus it's free unless you make more than 20.000€ a year out of music
well, technically you could use the product for free, but their system mentions that you do need to buy a license if you wish to use it for more than 30 days.
There is only one version of REAPER. We offer two licenses, depending on how you use it.
$225: full commercial license.
$60: discounted license.
You may use the discounted license if any of the following is true:
You are an individual, using REAPER only for personal use.
You are an individual or business, using REAPER for commercial use, and the yearly gross revenue does not exceed USD $20,000.
You are an educational or non-profit organization.
but i hear you. in practise, it would seem silly to pay since the download is fully working. but their policy and fair ethics, and also the fact that there is a massive community of reaper users for support and development, make me think that these guys are well worth the 60 bucks they're asking for. im seriously considering selling my cubase license and go cocko..!
Went all out and got a 27" iMac with Logic Pro 9 ... Basically fucking hate Windows and after using my mates Mac properly I knew they were for me. They are so worth money imo, you DEFINATELY get what you pay for. I know people that go through computers every 2 years, with hardware costing around £600 for a decent production computer then you do the maths. My Mac should last 10 years, I know people severyday Macbooks have and mines on a desk!!
what was the damage on that russla ?
