Friday August 6th 2010 sees CROOKED USE return after its hugely successful debut back in March; back at Gramaphone, in the heart of London’s clubland of Shoreditch, for a summer party designed to bring nothing but the best in quality drum & bass and dubstep.

August 6th Line up:
KLUTE is a dj/producer originally from Iceland who has been integral to the scene for over 10 years now. From early releases on the classic 'Certificate 18' through to his own label 'Commercial Suicide', KLUTE has always been known for pushing quality and diverse music. The hugely successful ABUNCHOFCUST.COM and the London clubnight of the same name has seen his profile rise even more. As such this is a rare chance to see a man equally famed for his energetic, unique and consistent dj sets in an intimate environment at the top of the bill.
LENZMAN has come onto the scene with such force that it is hard to think of the scene without him now, yet his first release on Spearhead is still less than 2 years old!! Recent releases on assured labels such as Shogun and Soul:R has brought tunes such as Emeralds, Fade Away and Rags to Riches to dancefloors of any sub-genre all over the world. Effortlessly combining dancefloor basslines with liquid ethos, Lenzman has his own style, and it is 100% so far so good. Whilst awaiting the drop of Open Page on Metalheadz, we are delighted to have him on board.
2BAD MICE are a legendary name from the early 90’s rave scene. They are credited with being one of the first hardcore acts to use breakbeats in their productions, which obviously lead through to the many d&b mutations we have today. Their classic track Bombscare will be known by many, and with many releases on Moving Shadow this duo really helped lay the foundations. Stepping up to Crooked Use for a classic set, this is a rare chance to see an act that has been away for a while but is now fully back on the case!
MR JOSEPH & DJ IZZY are regulars on the London circuit and part of the successful Fizzy and Undone nights. Mr Joseph has also seen his tunes gaining support from the likes of Fabio, Bukem and Bailey among others. Now with their own record label (Fizzy Beats) to boot, these two will just lay down whatever party vibe they feel is right. They are used to playing out while keeping their musical integrity fully in check, and are sure to step it up once more.
SOUL SINNERS are a 3-piece crew rapidly solidifying their place in the dubstep world. They have an album out soon on the mighty Dubstar label, and a mass of releases on other labels such as Dubting. They also host a fortnightly Thursday radio show on Flex fm. Check it/them out.
DJ-DSS is part of a 3piece outfit called 100ME, already releasing ep’s that cover house, electro and breakbeat. With that broad spectrum in mind DSS is getting his dnb on to provide an eclectic set for us.
Round this off with 4 mc’s that know the music is the star of the show, and have between them have covered events such as Hardware, Rupture, Sudden Def, Fizzy and Sun & Bass and you know things are gonna be kept nice and right till the end of the night.
