I have been recording off of 'Easy sound recorder' at 224kbps and its just distorted and shitty...

Not sure on this subject so can any1 give me an idea of what it could be?

cables? sound card? recorded?

My decks sound crisp as btw..

try a different program, and make sure the level of the sound going into the pc isnt too loud, it will sound crap if you recording something at a realli high volume. try turnin down the gains on your mixer so the sound going out of the record out is lower and then turn up your amp to make it as loud as you want in the room. let us no how it goes

Cheers for the help guys..

Will get a new recorder when i get home..

..And is that Audacity that you linked me a full version that wont keep bugging me to update and limit me to what it can do?

Is there any decent, fairly easy to use programs i can use to neaten up the audio further once its recorded?
EDIT: dont worry found an add on for total recorder..

Total recorder users check this out if you havnt already..
