    Hey Guys,

I have recently been playing around with recording myself and can get some good results. I just found an interesting Rusko video where he is going through making a track and a lot of the stuff he does is actually his voice recorded then drowned in effects!

I figured having a USB Mic would be a great idea as my built in laptop mic generates a hidious amount of background noise and I find recording through my mobile then sending to the laptop not only a little tedious but I won't be getting as fine results as I would with a mic.

My knowledge of mics amounts to about none! So, basically, I would like an easy to use USB Mic with relativley good sound quality :) Don't want to spend a crazy amount though. Maybe someone could point me towards a decent brand?

Be careful with USB mics, they tend to have latency issues...

If you wanna do it right, get yourself an audio interface and go from there... Of course i don't know your budget so that could be a concern.

I picked up a Shure SM57, XLR cable and M-Audio fast track for recording things :D

Looks like some neat stuff but I probably wouldn't be able to afford that! Not right now anyway...

I will do a little searching online and see what I can find :p
