Drum & Bass Contentious (Original Mix)

    Yeah sounding good man. The drums and bass are sounding pretty fat.

    I would say you should change the rides a bit though so they're more pronounced and have gaps maybe to add more of a rhythm to the song. kinda like Shank by Halogenix. They come in at 1:30.


    You could perhaps also leave the rides out until 16 bars after the drop, but that's just me.

    Also I like your sweeping pad sound but am not too keen on the part where it repeats more and goes up in pitch. I would maybe use something else as a riser there and then bring the pad back in later.

    This is what I would do anyway but hope that some of it may be useful

    The drums and bass sound really cool. A few edits with the drums would give it more continuity. The pads and fx sounds fit with the track but do sit a little high in the mix, and the pitch rise as mentioned above does seem to stand out....maybe some bp filtering could give a similar effect with changing the pitch.

    That bass is sounding sick man. The drums could do with the high end boosting a bit to add some sparkle I think... Some more bass variation would be nice too
