This is an official Congo Natty event with the Rebel MC, aka Jungle Rebel. Top Cat and Tenor Fly and Jah Prento. Top Cat and Tenor Fly will also showcase material from their forthcoming album.
The much renowned Rebel MC (aka Jungle Rebel) and his long time collaborators take to the stage at CARGO, SHOREDITCH, for a much anticipated showcase of true Congo Natty music. Michael West, the pioneer of Jungle and early Street Tuff popular reggae music, cites Jungle as the only UK born music that is still alive and well on the international underground circuit, and predicts that 2006 is going to be an important year in its genesis.
This night at Cargo represents an official showcase for this genre of music which Congo Natty created, where the vocal message will be delivered by celebrated veteran MCs Tenor Fly and Top Cat, who will showcase material from their new album, along with Jah Prento. The dubs will flow from selectors Jungle Rebel, DJ General and DJ Congo Dubs.
Expect more guests to pass through as the Jungle community respond to this call for a night of conscious dance music, with truly unbridled bass and beats only emphasising the evangelising reach and importance of the Universal Message within.
