Dunno if this has been posted yet or not, but here is a pretty in-depth tutorial on compression made by PrimeLoops.

There's a lot of tutorials on their channel that can be helpful for people who need to see, hear, and have the material explained in depth in order to learn better.

I figured it would be some help to somebody.

It already helped me a ton, along with the other tutorials.

what sometimes confuses me about compression is how people go about doing it, for example whether they process each element of their drums (eg the hi hats, the kick and the snare and the other hi hats individually) or all as one?
I do every single thing individually, personally.
