    He had a good run.

    One of my mates does Paris - Dakar on enduro bikes. When he's on form, he's in the top 10.

    Needless to say it is insanely dangerous. He's in hospital now, with serious injuries. A couple of his friends have died on the track. His girlfriend wants him to stop but if he stopped, he wouldn't be the guy she loved. Top bloke but all the best racers are more than a bit nutty. When you're dealing with the possibility of death on a daily basis in your job, you're not going to be averse to risk in your private life.

    yes, and this death is incredibly ironic, as colin have been looking death in the eyes, giving him a proud scottish V, and spinning gravel in his face for years..
    a fukin hellicopter..he didnt deserved this.

    ah, i just re read your post..
    apparently it wasnt a fun trip or nuthin, he was using that helicopter on a daily basis, since his house was in the middle of nowhere in the scotish highlands, and the pilot was a dear family friend, who knew the route inside out..

    fuck man, its so ironic..:cry:
