Hi ya'll,

Here is an other drop from d'Art.
It's relatively simple, spend about an hour on the drums I think, and just dropped it.
Could use some instrumentals thou. And A bassline, but what do you think about it so far?

Of course I will reward you with feedback on your own tracks!

i'm liking the intro!
but the main drums sound a bit to glitchy for me, but thats just personal, it might be better with a real bassline underneath
I'm interested in how tis will turn out :D

your link is off-limit for me, could it be some conspiracy?

to be honest, I think it sounds like crap.
The first instrument you hear is some Fl Studio synth, always shitty and lifeless.
But I will use the MIDI-loop for that on a reel synth, always sounds better.
And I will think of a bassline, some day. . .

link in signature should work now

then why did you upload it :p
but some standard FL-studio vst's could sound very nice..

IT'S WORKING ALRIGHT!!

I wanted to hit the 1,000 plays, and I did.

about those standard sounds. . .
I get the feeling Fl Studio is cutting out on some frequencies.
My synth sound way better, even with just the standard waveforms.
But I have a small buzz in my soundcard so did not wanted to go all the way, but if I want to, the recording can come out quit clean, but is a bit back and forth procedure with Audacity.
I wonder how to remove that hum. . .
my cables are clean, but even when noting but the usb connection on the damn thing (CI1 - Steinberg) there is that stupid sinelike waveform.

What is nice...? Depend on what your used to, I guess.
My brother thinks his mp3s sounds nice, I find them lacing of clarity.

so you made a track you didn't fully like, to get 1000 plays? everyone his method i guess

I can't help with that hum thing.. I'm not at all familiar with hardware..

I do agree on your 'nice' thing, everybody has it's own taste, and hears different things

as most of the times, I just test methods, and this track was to reach a 1,000 overall play, not just this 1, that would be stupid.
on this one I tested the bassline, for which I finally used my korg and the MIDI drumloop, for which I Cakewalk TTS drumkit from sonar.
It turned out to be bad for the mix is to messy.
But I reached that 1,000 mile stone.

I just made a good kick with the ms2000br, and I will use it to record some old tracks again.
It sound good enough with fx, so I must make a snare too and then things should sound a lot better.

The lesson I learned this time is to use portamento a lot more, never did...
and usually used the compressor to much, hence crapping my kicksound.
This should be over, I hope.

Still learning

d'Art
