    Chronic - established 1996.

Home to underground Drum & Bass.

Part of the V Recordings family.

Launched back in 1996 by Bryan Gee as a sister label to the legendary V Recordings, Chronic rapidly established itself as a purveyor of the biggest dance floor tunes.

Featuring a discography of rave-destroying tracks from the likes of Dillinja, Roni Size, DJ Die, Ray Keith and more, Chronic has smoked dance floors across the globe with its unique brand of dark DnB.

Now, after 17 years at the top of its game, Chronic is undergoing an evolution.
2013 sees one of the scene’s darkest labels transformed with a new roster of fresh talent and established artists joining forces to produce some of the roughest tunes you’ll hear.
Despite an upgraded look and forward thinking beats, this is still the Chronic that the scene knows and loves.

We're pleased to announce the forthcoming ‘Chronic Rollers’, a 20-track compilation featuring some of the freshest and most exciting producers on the scene.

    Welcome to the all-new Chronic.

    Chronic Rollers Vol. 1

After 17 years at the top of its game, Chronic is undergoing an evolution.
From its beginnings as an undercover outlet for some of the scenes biggest names, Chronic has always kept its feet firmly on the dance floor.

With D&B now commercially accepted the world over, 2013 sees one of the scene’s original no frills labels reborn with a new look and a renewed passion to cater strictly for the underground on which this scene is built. A new roster of fresh talent joining forces with established artists to produce what can only be described as raw, uncompromising Drum & Bass, ‘Chronic Rollers’ switches between straight up rollers, deeper, darker beats and dance floor smashers.

Kicking off the new era is ‘Chronic Rollers’. A 20-track compilation featuring some of the freshest and most exciting producers on the scene, the latest album from the Chronic is sure to turn heads. A combination of V favourites such as Ruffstuff, Critycal Dub, DJ Chap, Nu Elementz and Jam Thieves as well as new blood such as Soulculture, Silent Type and Mitus, Chronic Rollers combines old and new for one of Chronic's darkest, dance floor focused albums to date.
Featuring the precise, tribal sounds of Duoscience’s wicked 'Scarlet', the deep vibes of Savage Rehab & Bladerunner’s 'Something’s Got to Give' or the old school sounds of 'Can You Feel Me’ by Level 2, as well as a host of other bangers, Chronic Rollers is sure to get the dance floor moving.

Chronic Rollers lookin' good at Number 1 in the Juno Drum & Bass best sellers this week - thanks for your support guys!

    Review:

"Hmm, now what would the music found on a collection entitled "Chronic Rollers" be like? If you're a fan of tight snares, big, bulging bass and the type of rolling riddims that keep parties raving on til sunrise, then this LP was especially put together with you in mind. Featuring old hands and newcomers, favourites and rising stars, Chronic have pulled together the finest rollers available to humanity and placed them here, now. If you need further convincing, the likes of Savage rehab, Bladerunner, Silent Type and DJ Chap all play jungle-infused liquid D&B blinders while darker sounds come from Jam Thieves and L Side. With this on your side, who needs a feelgood playlist?"

Chronic Rollers, one of Knowledge Magazine's essential releases from July...

    Review:

"London label Chronic has been in the game for seventeen years, and this huge compilation marks a rebirth of sorts, as Chronic re-configures itself for the year 2013 and beyond. They've assembled an impressive roster of artists for the mammoth collection, including both established names such as DJ Chap and Ruffstuff and up-and-coming talent like Mitus, and although it works better being dipped in and out of than listened to from start to finish – ideal for DJs, so it's no bad thing – there's no denying the strength of these tunes. Dark and rolling (as you may have guessed from the title) is the order of the day here, with dancefloor-battering basslines and big, bouncy beats in abundance.

A few personal highlights would be Soulculture's Bring Me Down, with its cavernous, ribcage-rattling subs, techy wobbler Something's Got To Give by Bladerunner, the urban knees-uppery of Electro Funk by Ruffstuff and Nu Elementz, and Total Recal's dutty, grumbling remix of Park of the Monsters by Jam Thieves, but the whole album is well worth your time."

This actually looks pretty godlike. On this.

Still need to get a hold of Roni Size - Rolling Stone, but it seems like we may have lost that one forever.

Knowledge Magazine talk to Cabin Fever about the new Chronic!

"Chronic Records has been a major player in the music scene for as long as any of us can remember. 2013 sees them relaunching, refocusing and doing what they do best, representing the underground. On the recent Chronic Rollers LP, they covered new ground, with an amazing selection of hot tracks. Cabin Fever contributed Amazon, and they talk to us about the release and more."
