My local chippie does great chips, quite fat, not greasy and usually hot & crispy, and it's only about 6 doors down from my house, (the offie is even closer).

Best of all is their chilli sauce which is medium hot with chunky onion bits, yummy!

I don't eat chips that often, but if I can't be bothered cooking or haven't managed to eat lunch by mid afternoon, then chips it is!

I like to go to the chippie occasionally, but always find that I feel slightly nauseous and lethargic after eating them :(

I don't like pre-cut frozen kebab shop chips / fries though. :mrpanic: They make me feel sick, especially if they're soggy.

    Gotta be real potatoes:shabba:

Belgium fries are gorgeous though! Preferably in Belgium...

I used to be strictly both S&V & ketchup...

Now it's all about S&V & lashings of kebab chilli sauce!

Fes, if you ever come to England or UK, you need to try a propa chippie meal! Good chippies have propa local reps, like sound systems.

I also remembered my Old Skool favourite, chippie chips with gravy in a tray! (I'm now Veggie so can't enjoy that one no more).

2 things I can't stand is Chippies who charge for Ketchup. 10p for a sachet, that's enough for a burger, but nothing like enough for a portion of chips...

    &

Chippies that water down the ketchup with vinegar.

Tastes like shite, (well, vinegar really). I'm all about the Heinz Ketchup at home, with my chips from the local chippie.
