We Fear Silence present…
Chew The Fat! Meets Wax:On
Chew The Fat! Christmas Party

Friday 11th December, 2009, 10pm-5am
Cable, London

Fake Blood (DJ mix album release party), Evil Nine, A1 Bassline, Foamo, Hostage, Eskimo Twins, Reso Vs. Baobinga, Gemmy, Slugabed, SBTRKT, SDUK & CNTRST, Black Masa, Propa Tingz

After celebrating their 12th Birthday back in October and their recent excursion to London super-club Matter, Chew The Fat! venture to new club Cable - London Bridge’s latest offering - with good friends Wax:On to spread festive cheer and celebrate the release of Fake Blood’s amazing new Mix CD.

The one and only Fake Blood makes his debut appearance at Chew The Fat! as he celebrates the release of his Mix CD, the first in the Wax:On Compilation Series. Joining Fake Blood in the main room will be Evil Nine who return to the decks for the first time since Chew The Fat! left The End. After their impressive back-to-back set at Matter, Fat! residents Foamo & A1 Bassline return for a second helping. Scotland’s finest Hostage brings his unique brand of party bass whilst Wax:On bring their own residents Eskimo Twins to the floor.

Room 2 is hosted by cheeky party starters THEM who have been terrorizing both London and Brighton with their Future Bass stylings. As well as distinguished residents Slugabed, CNTRST & SDUK, they play host to special guests Gemmy, man of the moment SBTRKT and Reso Vs. Baobinga, who caused a stir with their set at this year’s Glastonbury festival.

This stellar line up can mean only one thing - It's almost Christmas!

It’s getting to that time once again when everyone and their nan starts bandying about their ‘top tips’ for the coming year. We’ll no doubt be joining in the ‘fun’ so what better way to start than to introduce Randomer. At first glance the Hospital/Med School affiliation shouts Drum & Bass but his latest 12″ ‘Scapegoat’ suggests this 23 year-old producer is an altogether different prospect. Coupled with this impressive mix you’ll quickly realise that Randomer couldn’t be more on-point right now, seamlessly spanning genres and tempos both in this mix and his own productions whilst simultaneously managing to define his own sound. Artist to watch for 2010 anyone?

Born and raised in sunny Wolverhampton, PropaTingz made his way to the slightly sunnier San Francisco eight years ago and has since immersed himself in the creative hotbed that is the West Coast electronic music scene. With a sound that comprises elements from both sides of the pond he’s an exciting prospect. Download ‘Rippin’ Needles’ and his mix for Electronic Explorations. Watch out for ‘Poor Man Style’ forthcoming on Black Acre and his next-level remix of 16bit’s ‘Chainsaw Calligraphy’. He’ll be touching down in the UK next month as he embarks on his European tour and you can catch him in Room 2 at Chew The Fat! at Cable on Friday December 11th. Check his MySpace for tour dates.
