Charlie L December Mix 2010

Right, gave this another listen today man. Very much enjoyed it!

The intro is wicked, I was abit skeptical on how Slow Down and Babylon would go together, but it worked so well! Would have preferred it as a double drop tho I think :D
Beatmatching was overall pretty solid, apart from a few minor bits here and there, but thats to be expected in 2 hours! anything that went out a little bit got caught pretty much straight away. Did hear the platter get touched a few times but it wasnt really noticeable.
Tune selection was spot on and I think you played pretty much every tune I wanted to hear in 2 hours :D and you managed to go between different genres easily which was nice and kept it very varied.
A few of my favourite bits were

Wasnt expecting that because it wasnt in the tracklist :teeth: made it even better!

Dj Fresh - Talkbox Camo and Krooked Remix - Breakbeat Kaos
Siren - Snorkel - Siren
Commix - Strictly - Metalheadz

Wasnt a big fan of the Casino tease for some reason, like the tune just didnt sit well for me. But Snorkel made up for it.

Cue - Break The Enemy - G13 Records
Enei - One Chance - Cia Records
Fracture and Neptune - The Limit - Astophonica
Spy - Go With The Flow - Ram Records
>> Commix - Bellview D Bridge Remix - Metalheadz

Was the sickest bit for me, loved how the Bellview remix came in, and the drop with One Chance & The Limit worked really well.
The only other bit I wasnt really a fan of was

Commix - I Have You
Mind Vortex - Onslaught

IMO they were just to conflicting of styles, only my opinion of course :)

Enjoyed it tho man! loads of tunes in there that I havent heard in the mix before so it was refreshing! Hope to hear a new mix soon, possibly a bit shorter next time though :teeth:

Thanks Nuera for the indepth feedback and sorry for the late responce, I've been in the country for the past week, hahaha defently not doing another two hour mix for a while man, that took so much preparation that it nearly sucked the fun out of it... I think you have highlighted the favourite part of the mix perfectly that whole bit between break the enemy and bellview remix was the cue into the harder side of the mix... although my personnel fav drop was go with the flow into memories :) I know what you mean about touching the platter. over the past week or two i've really beening trying ht hone in the skills of just using hte pitch control to adjust the tempo so next mix should be spot on (actually dont hold me to that;))

I know what you mean about hte mind vortex and commix mix,, listening back it doesnt really fit but i think i just slammed that mind vortex tune really to make it bang on 2 hours...

again nuera big ups for the feedback your views are always nicely indepth...

I'm half way through your mix now and i nearly slapped myself when you dropped jibba jabba into space time.. one for it was a big mix and two for not really paying attention to jibba jabba more when it came out.. I'll leave my feedback in ya thread when i'm done listening
 
lets bump this mother again!!! lets see how many more downloads can happen this week before i start on a new mix !!!! :)
 
Tracklist looks deep mate...good mixture of tunes and that. First time I've listened to your mixing mate so should be fun!

safe jaro for picking this one up.. hope you enjoy it and that you like the mixing style if you've never heard one of mine before :)

friday always gets dropped in my mixes to good a bass line not to tease with tunes!!

enjoy mate and if you could leave some feedback that would be awsome.....
