    Saturday 29th May @ Lakota
    Champion Sound
    Back to the Roots

Back once again with the Ragga Jungle hits!

Headlining the main room we have three acts who can each boast a UK Number 1 to their name, but that's just where this night gets started, in support we've searched high and wide to get some of the acts requested by the crew at our last event, and some we just thought it was about time played in Bristol again.. The last two have been absolute stompers but this one looks set to top them both; microphone legends and only the biggest DJs from back in the day, it's a recipe for a night you'll never forget!

    Info:

    SWEETIE IRIE:
➜ When we asked our previous performers who the man to really tear up a dance was, the main answer we got was Sweetie, most famous for his Gorillaz collaboration and massive on the International Reggae circuit people sometimes forget he was representing Ragga Jungle way back on Congo Natty 002 on one of the biggest Jungle tunes ever! [ [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLMH5YMjjPg]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLMH5YMjjPg[/link] ] A massive massive performer bound to bring the vibes!

    TIPPA IRIE
➜ One of the original British fast talkers who you could say were responsible for it all.. double time ragga lyrics were Tippa Irie's speciality from way back in the eighties, one of the original best who's probably best known for his collab on the Black Eyed Peas number 1 'Hey Mama' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtczBseiAac) but whose back catalogue is a huge list of British dancehall classics, ask any British MC with a reputation about Tippa Irie and we guarantee you their eyes will light up, Tippa is arguably the grand daddy of it all.. Massive!

    BABY D
➜ As UK rave music goes Baby D epitomise where it all began, hands in the air euphoric vocals and breakbeats as sharp as a razor, producer Floyd Dyce composed some of the most intricate Jungle patterns back in the day, with Dee herself on the mike and veteran MCs Nino & Micro the Baby D show is something everybody should try to see at least once, if you don't believe us then just ask somebody that already has!

    MICKEY FINN
➜ Alongside Aphrodite Mickey Finn is responsible for a fair few classic tunes and a fair few classic rave tapes, from Urban Shakedown's Some Justice to Urban Takeover's Badass the Mickey Finn sound is a sound to shake down any arena, bassline lovers hold tight!

    JUMPIN JACK FROST
➜ A Jungle veteran from before Jungle even existed, a legend for his Westcountry rave sets but someone best known for setting up V recordings with Bryan G and then signing up Roni Size and Full Cycle...The rest is history! One of the most popular DJs amongst thos e in the know in Drum & Bass and we're lucky enough to have him play on his birthday, it's gonna be a BIG party!!! ;)

    POTENTIAL BAD BOY
➜ It must seem like we say all of our DJs are 'legends from back in the day', and many of them really are, but for Potential Bad Boy it really is the only way to describe him, still producing massive tunes right up to this day Potential Bad Boy has been doing it for nearly 20 years, a sound that we know well from the late nineties Bristol pirate radio and that many of our rave crew will recognise from his recent ragga jungle releases on True Playaz. His stuff has been spot on for years though, if you want to hear some really special Jungle sounds then just search Potential Bad Boy on youtube.. Too many tunes to mention!!!
