Greetings to all headz!

We are a "Reggaetronic Rock" band from Portland, OR, USA, and we are seeking DJs/Producers to remix one of our tunes.

This is to be done in the spirit of sharing, so no money will be made off of any of the tunes, unless specifically arranged with the DJ. We just want to share music and collaborate, and spread the vibe of different styles of music. We will post the remix on our website and/or other music websites in order to promote the DJ and the Band, and just because it's cool.

We currently have a Romanian Trance DJ and a British Ambient DJ starting their remixes, but we need someone to represent for the DnB/Breakbeat massive!! Are you the one??

The original tune can be found here (147 bpm):

If you are interested, please contact me through our website, and I can provide an a'capella track, and a few other samples from the song.

Let me know!

Hey all-

Thanks for the interest! Still figuring out how to deal with LARGE wav files online, but here's what I got so far:

Here's the original song, in MP3 format:

The a'capella in WAV format, along with a couple other samples, are located in the "Laser beam DJ Mixes" folder here:

The original is 147bpm.

Let me know if you have any problems with these links. Look forward to seeing what people come up with!

Respect,

this is a big track. nice one.

i dont get back to the studio till the 21st ish. we'll have a bash at it when im back. if any on the other parts become available they'd be appreciated.

peace.

[edit]
could really do with the instrument tracks from the verse, rhythem guitar etc. a clean vocal track would be nice but not essential. i'll definitely do you a mix of this if you can get the above available.

best wishes and take it easy.

Hey guys-
Awesome. Once again, I'm impressed by the response from the community here, you guys rock.

I've had some responses from people that are having trouble downloading the wavs, so I've conveniently zipped them up and put them on a server, here:

It's roughly 50MB of wav files, and included are:
clean vocal track
Rhythm track from the verse
Keyboard hook
a couple of sound effects from the song

Let me know how that works for y'all.

Cheers,

this is the same as before, the vocals aren't clean and the rhythm track has all elements together (inc drums). if thats all were getting to work with fair enough but the other bits and bobs would make it an easier and probably better remix.

peace

Hi guys- sorry for the slow response, I've just been "Off the Grid" in Italy for a week (no cell phone, no internet, no watch, no girlfriend!).

So what I'm understanding is that you guys want "dry" vocals and the rhythm guitar track? Is that it for now?

N

s'alright for some! :)

yea, the instruments from the verse section are what i really want, the rhythm guitar and the organ, without the drums.

"dry" vocal tracks ie with no delay and reverb etc, would be nice. but you'll have too bounce the harmonies separately (on a different track).

keep in contact guys. peace.

Hey Krease-

Thanks for the interest!

Not sure of the deadline yet. I'd like to release a collection of the mixes in the next month or two. I'm starting to think that we should come up with a small "prize package" for the one voted best, since we've gotten so much interest..
