Ello guys.
I have been doing a lot of research on Serato Scratch Live and the Pioneer CDJ 800 MK2s but I just cannot decide on which one to go with.
I would appreciate it if anyone could give me their opinions or even experiances with either of these products.
I like the idea of serato scratch live so that I can still use vinyl.
But i also like the feel of CDJs with the CUE function and size.

All comments welcome.
Thanks.

I agree with you mate.
But I can't afford vinyl its just too expensive for me. Especially with the amount of tunes that I'll want.

That's why im looking to serato cos i can use vinyl turntables with all my tracks stored on my laptop.

But then I like the Pioneer CDJ 800 MK2s!

Hmmm Decisions decisions :(

get serato, here's why :

you'll be able to use it with the control vinyl, and if you find yourself really liking the feel of vinyl - you may eventually switch over to buying and spinning real vinyl.
BUT ALSO!
you can use serato with CDJS, so, if you don't like the way the vinyl is acting. you can just hook yourself up with a pair of cdjs, and bombs away.

other noticable features about serato -
you mentioned about cdjs having cue points. serato uses and has theses too.
handy features which alow you to jump straight to cue points - real time looping features - 3 different types of vinyl mode ;
absolute : behaves like real vinyl would
relative : more cdjing route, cut points, loops, lots of other features
internal : all you need is a mixer and you can play straight from your laptop.

so, i'd say go with serato. because you're leaving yourself open to a lot more options, and you'll find was most suitable to you.
