I knew it was me writing that stuff, but on the screen it wasn't me. On the screen it was my mum or my best friend.

The posts would say I was ugly, I was useless, I wasn't loved… all the stuff in my head. If I saw it in black and white coming from 'other people' I knew it must be true. But it was exhausting to keep up with.

My friends were trying to protect me and stick up for me, so to keep it up I ended up posting nasty messages to them too.

It was killing me seeing them get so angry on my behalf and it was then that I knew I had to stop. It wasn't about hurting other people, it was about hurting myself.

who the fuck are these people??!?!? I wanna meet them so i can harm them.

Cant believe we have got to the point now where the teenagers arent even self harming properly and need to do it through social media. What was wrong with the trusty ol' razor blade?

9% of 617 people in some random town in Murica..? Bullshit excuse for a news article. Fucking media; all this will do is make the 'problem' become an actual problem.

Troll on

I guess some people do it but they KNOW it's them any attempt to say they get 'affected' by it is bs.

And we await the results of you trolling yourself with interest Ted.

Similar to that thread a while ago?

Some lass topped herself after a few heads ritually bullied her on various social media sites, old bill go to trace said bullies, turns out shes been trolling herself for 3 years with 4 or 5 different fictional people...

I've said it a million times, instead of the government trying to make people not watch porn, they should invest some serious time and money into restricting/monitoring access to the internet of certain vulnerable peoolle/those with specific mental health issues.

The internet is actually a seriously dangerous environment for mentally ill people with specific social/personality disorders.

Levity ticks all the right boxes. How could something be policed like that though? The only thing I can think of is if you get some kind of online pass from your doctor. Perhaps they get in touch with your ISP and give them the all clear.

The trouble n strife manages a charity that does activities n such for vulnerable adults/adults with learning difficulties and has had direct experience of this sort of thing happening.

She/the board suggested something very similar to that to the local council/mental health group/nhs/gp's to pioneer a trial in cambridgeshire & they wouldn't touch it with a bargepole through fear of someone getting it wrong and being accused of infringing on someones human rights...

Sad as fuck considering service users from across the county themselves were present and actually supported it 100%.

I reckon its more to do with cost personally and they're just using that as an excuse.

Very bleak :(

I think the real issue that is raised with shit like this is: How much damage can words alone actually do?

imo, being emotionally/mentally controlled by words is a choice made by a weak psyche that's looking to pin the blame for misfortune/misery on somebody else.
