I am really stumped when it comes to creating a jump up bassline and was hoping someone could help me. I cant seem to find any tutorials or help for remedial people lol.

I use Logic Express 9 and also have NI Massive.

I have been producing for about 3 years now but mostly self taught, but when it comes to attack, decay, cutoff, gain, EQ, hi-pass, low pass, etc. I don't really know what i am doing, sorry. So an in-depth explanation would really be appreciated.

Thanks very much, and below I will put an link for an example of a song that i have in mind.

Why are so many people asking for a sound this easy to create?

I don't wanna open a new thread so here is my question. Can someone please help me, how to create kind of "running bassline" like here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFTfPHkFaew on 2:40 -->? NI Massive's LFO/Performer or what is the secret? Yesterday I learned to re-sample basslines but that running bass is still mystery for me :gaywhite:

If you click that link above and listen, that let you know what I mean. "Running bassline" is my term and honestly its sounds like that.

I suppose you could run some saw waves through a band pass filter. Use a low cutoff, low bandwith and low resonance. Then automate the cutoff for the 'running effect'.
