I've replayed Ashtray Wasp so many times, I think I already have a 2012 favorite

I cannot wait for Burial's Kindred - EP, ever since that tweet/fb post I've been eagerly awaiting it. IMO you can never go wrong with a bit of Burial.

Those are some fine tunes

what genre does astray wasp fall under i've never heard anything quite like it
I would say Ashtray Wasp falls under the genre "Burial"

Lol, if I had to give a place to start looking I can only sugesst you start with post-dubstep or future garage. Some artists like Late, Ghostek, Sorrow and Nocow have gotten very good at making stuff with that delicious, organic crackly sound that Burial does so well.
