cool ideas, especially for being new to things. one tip i can offer is distortion will be your best friend. be adventurous in pushing things hard(balances always tho). this mainly is aimed at the drums as they were the first thing i noticed lacking. the snare is near non existent and has no punch. compress the lows on the bass' and you'll be ok their, but even subtle distortion to really bring out the hollow tones i imagine you were going for. youtube tutorials will also be your best friend unless your hanging out with plenty of people doing the same things with way more experience than you. I didn't have that so i youtubed, googled, played around a lot with stuff.
