I'm not much of reader except for my CM mag every month, but I feel I'm at the point where my mind constantly wants and craves new challenges and information.

I saw this thread on Reddit and it got me thinking; what books do you know that can improve your brain tekkers and a like.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Didn't look at the link but "Thinking fast and slow" by Daniel Kahneman is fantastic. Makes you realise how warped your perspective really is

I hear 50 Shades of Grey is an intelligent book. You will be so sophisticated after reading it you will have a posh British accent. :teeth:

i was about to ask if it was any good, but its a kids book then? cos the monster looks alright, its lovecraftian enough, plus LD mentions "goosebumps" in a song. which is about growing up, so it could be i couldve figured that one out on my own.

and ivan, is that true? im not sure i want to be seen reading that book. theres just some things i wont do, some lengths i cant go to.

as for brain enhancing books, i dont know, like, for example essays, journals, memoir, diaries, documentaries, scientific papers, photographs, biographies, textbooks, travel books, blueprints, technical documentation, user manuals, diagrams and some journalism is all good for the brain. im reading a book on the black plauge right now and its very good for the brain, albeit hard to read, cos while being well written and interesting, its facts that blow your mind pretty hard, fairly constantly, so i can max do a few pages a week. but i think of cool things all the time when reading that book

Not one serious answer, what a forum of extraordinary people. God bless every one. Except Moskit, and Castle. Well, Moskit is ok, but fuck you Castle. If you won't have my baby no one will.

    Anyway,

This is the book I am reading now and its fascinating. I highly recommend it.
