most of eddie izzards stand up is brilliant. dressed to kill is genious, but gorgeous and definate artical are great too.

if you can find any frankie boyle stuff, definatly get it. dry (and harsh) as fuck. nothing is out of bounds, and he really goes for the kill. you might recognise him off 'mock the week' on bbc2. and the other one, the ginger one from bristol on it, he's pretty decent.

Incredibly unfunny. One joke told over an hour using one gimmick.

Richard Pryor is the acknowledged God of comedy. Funny thing is that he was quite a mediocre middle of the road nonthreatening comedian making a good career when he had an epiphany and said in front of a huge audience, "What the fuck am I doing here?" and then he reinvented himself, turning himself into a role model for every edgy, biting, vicious but self-deprecating comedian out there.

You have to watch a bit to begin to appreciate him and his films are naff but his live act has never been topped.

Pryor helped me deal with some woman problems a while ago. The best comedians make you think about and want to change yourself.

Lee Evans is my favourite. I can't wait til october as i'm seeing him live.
Richard Pryor also gets top marks. I was in hysterics when i watched one of his DVDs. Proper funny guy. Has he passed away now?
