they probably didn't take into account the turning of the earth as the particle goes in the opposite direction.

It's not actually been proved yet.

If it is proved it's pretty groundbreaking, means that particles are either travelling faster than the speed of light, or that they are passing through other dimensions to shorten the journey.

In the first case, it seems that theoretically time travel would be possible.

In the second, possibly hyperspeed travel or near enough teleportation...

    Exciting shit!

true to a certain degree... there are certain parts fo the atom (im thinking either electron or neutron) that can be seperated by the distance of a galaxy, but affecting one has an effect on the other instantly, faster than light...

however, you are close hombre... time travel is indeed theoretically possible through worm holes

This machine was created by humans.

Humans think their calculations, meassurements, specs and construction is 100% spot on.

Each step in the process adds a miniscule deviation from the original plan.

Most of the time they amount to just about 60 nanoseconds all together.

you forget time is also created by humans, this should help to facilitate things.

a means of measuring time dude... time exists in two forms, 'clock' time (as in percieved) and space time (as in the dimension)

    theyve said that there's a +/- 10nanosecond deviation.

If the particles are infact travelling faster than light then a whole lot of equations need reworking...e=mc^2 for one.

Pretty crazy to be honest...other labs have hinted at neutrino's possibly travelling faster than light too, however they havent confirmed.

Its important to note it was neutrino's too...not much is known about these particles and theyre pretty odd. Near mass-less(well relatively) and have no charge and dont interact with most of normal matter.
Anyone claiming these guys are making a trivial error clearly has no clue about the meticulousness of scientists.

Time is a dimension like everything else is a dimension.

    A dimension is a persepctive an angle; it's x, y and z mate.

The everything, the all is like a big vinyl; each nook and cranny represents a moment and place in space, but each one on its own is entirely abstract to the point of being irrelevant; time as we perceive it is the needle, as it moves along the grooves [or the other way around if you wish] it creates space, it creates time because nothing is relevant unless compared to something else, if there is no change there is no transformation of energy, there is no matter, there is nothing, nothing is happening.

Time is relative, our lives are infinitesimally small compared to that of a star, infinitesimally long compared to those of quarks.

Everything is happening at the same time, only our perspectives, our dimensions are a lickle bit different from one another's, though they often intertwine, tangate [if that's what it's called in English...] and shit like that.

All I will say so far is that even the scientists that discover it don't believe it, and have only published it to hope someone else can spot the problem with it.

will post more in the next few days when i sober up
