Are you a fan of massive raves with tons of headz and multiple rooms, or small clubs with fewer people and usually only one or two spots?

I like both, as long as there is dnb, a good sound system, and people who're into the tunes and aren't cunts.

Gotta say though, I love lasers and they're often hard to come by at the smaller joints.

I used to love both, but the last mega-rave (2000 +) I went to was years ago in a city far, far away ....

I think about 400 people is great for a good dnb club. the last small club I did a gig at had an awesome laser too, unfortunately it was not mounted on a giant shark ala Austin Powers, but I was happy. The top sound system helped too.

A new monthly night has just started here in a trendy bar, which will be cool but has a RUBBISH sound system, last time I heard it anyway.

realy like the smaller clubs whit only 1 light on by the dj a fucking good sound system and some sick tracks :resick:

I haven't really been to too many massive raves. Biggest are at SE1 (formerly The Drome) or Brixton Academy when they've had 4 rooms.

Had some good & bad nights at the Drome / SE1, when it was Drome it used to be supa-chilled.

When it changed to SE1 I went to a World Dance night, which was the moodiness most aggy nite ever, I swear the security would've been better suited to a prison camp, properly abusive, sarcastic and threatening, while standing back and watching gangs in black leather trenchcoats push thru the dancefloors...

I couldn't stand anything bigger, like the NEC type ones.

Been to big free parties, but they're big in the number of sound systems and rooms, not necessarily 1,000's of ppl. But still, if you lose sight of yr friends, that's it. Unlikely to find them again til the next day round someone's house...

I've had good and bad experiences at big & small, and had many good times at things in pubs / small clubs with 2 rooms and maybe 20 ppl on the dancefloor.

Prolly prefer small actually, but it depends on the company, both ppl I'm with and ppl u might meet during the night (easier to meet new ppl in a small event I reckon).

Smaller parties are much better IMO.

Something about the size of Clockwork in Bristol, The End or Breakneck is about right .. That size is cool because you bump into the same faces all night and can see hello and actually socialise. The massive raves are too impersonal and hectic. If you go with a bunch of mates you spend half the night looking for each other and trying to stick together…..nightmare…not to mention the bloody bar / cloak room queues!!!!

They were fun when I was younger I had fun at big raves …my 21st at the Sanctuary in 2001 was fun!...Dreamscape was cool too but ...the newer big raves have kind of missed the point IMO.

Just give me a wicked system, nice crowd of about 300 people who are there for the music and vibes not to just get mashed, plenty of girls and no bar queue and im happy as larry!
