BIG FAT GRIZZLY DIRTY OLE BASS

Can anyone who is in the knowhow on how to make a decent big smelly old bass sound pleeze apply some tips in this thread for all us shabby noobs to the game. Especially in fl studio pleese. That would be pretty damn kool of you all.

If you are using reason ( it might work with other software ) select a malstrom but dont select a pre made effect. on the effect selection find the "sawtooth" sound and do this again on the other option and you will obviosly have two sawtooth sounds.

Now slightly detune each one and you will have what they call a "reese" sound which if tuned down an octave makes a nice bass sound.

you can repeat the process and use two three four other malstroms and effects like distortion etc just make sure each sound effect is detuned from each other only slightly tho

take a sine wave, pitch it down and distort it to fuck - voila, one dirty bass sound

distorting can take a lot of bass out, if its lacking bass after dist, high pass it at about 60-100Hz (or to taste) and add another pitched down sine wave thats clean (no dist) for your sub
