best software for sequencing???

    title says it all really. using reason at the mo and i dont think it has that good sampling and sequencing abilities really is there anything better out there?

    i like sony acid (i also have reason, so i know what you mean). its all about rewiring reason through a DAW like acid, etc. to get it to sound better. sorry i cant explain that to you though, as i have yet to try it myself. search for tips out there.

    Yeah, use whatever suits your needs best. You can slave Reason to work for you in most hosts. For example if you're in a tight budget, try Reaper, as it's only about 40€.

    as Kama says quite right, get something to suit your needs and budget. Propellerhead are bringing out a seperate bit of software soon for these exact purposes called 'Record'
    so you can sequence. dont know how much this will be but it may be worth having a look and comparing features/price ect.
    otheres are:

    Logic
    Nuendo
    Cuebase
    Ableton
    sonar
    Acid loops

    im sure there are more out there, but they essentially do a similar job - sequencing
