ez peeps, currently using a nifty little freeware compressor called "Rough Rider" for my drums and it's not too bad for a freeware component. however i was wondering if you guys had any tips for some alternative transient shapers or compressors that work well with drums from ur experiences?

I've had a brief encounter with Bittersweet.
I didn't like the fact that there were no attack, sustain or release parameters.

What DAW are you using? The Logic compressor can sound great when used well

yeah i tried bittersweet but it never really did it for me, wasnt keen on tha interface for it...im using fl studio man, the compressor on that isnt bad, but looking for something with a good interface visually

Bittersweet seemed to work better if you just use it on a seperate snappy layer of your snare, it robs the snare of body if you put it on the bus and crank it
