    For god's sake it's not even dnb! Do they want any credibility from DNB heads or are they just taking the piss?

    It wasn't to do with taste, it was to do with sales.

    Skrillex's Bangarang EP sold like hot cakes when it came out in the end of December, Kyoto was on Bangarang, ergo Kyoto was the 'DnB track of 2011'.

    I thought it was beatport highlighting their favorite tracks? At any rate it still baffles me

    I don't really think it can be called dnb though? I don't wanna get into a genre argument, but this doesn't sound like it fits any subgenre of dnb.

    Are there any credible dnb awards?

    Isn't it time we had an awards ceremony voted for by people in the scene. If you leave it to the fans you end up with the same bullshit winners
