As has been widely reported, the earthquake in New Zealand was the country's deadliest natural disaster for 80 years. Japan has also suffered massive devastation as a result of a 9.0 magnitude earthquake with over 3,500 people reported dead and thousands more missing. Spokesperson Zula from Artificial Intelligence said, "as the DJ community, we felt compelled to do something positive for the victims of these disasters. We're proud that so many people have come forward and are donating their time and resources for such a worthy cause. We're determined to make this a night to remember.”
As you would expect, support has been coming from across the board and the event features some of the biggest names from the dance music community. All in all, this is a great opportunity to have a banging night out and to make a difference whilst you're at it, so please come down and show your support for Bass Relief on April 11th at XOYO!
Proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Emergency Appeal and disaster relief charity Music For Relief.
Good to see the dnb community coming together for Japan but where were they when Haiti needed help?
