Hello. I'm Cabot. I've been playing the electric bass for 11 years and the upright for four. I joined this forum because I've never really listened to dnb all that much, and I'm interested in it in a unique way. I've seen a couple of dnb dj's, and I thought, "I think that I could probably play that." So I've set out to get a feel for dnb so that when I can afford a synth and a digital sampler for my bass, I can compose drum tracks and bass tracks in real time on my bass and loop them together.

very interesting, i read roni size was working on something just like it.
there are quite a few digital samplers available free of cost at gersic.com, synths too, so you could pretty much get started immediately. and if you got the time, do post some samples of your bass on the production forum, original samples are always appreciated
